Hello, friends and welcome to Tarot By Mokko! Today, I will provide an in-depth tarot reading to look into the future of Kris Wu’s career.

Kris Wu is a Chinese-Canadian actor, singer, rapper, model and producer who initially rose to fame as a member of the K-Pop group called EXO. EXO debuted in 2012 with the song and EP, MAMA. Originally, EXO was a 12-member group that was divided into two: one part Korean (EXO-K) and the other Chinese (EXO-M, with Korean members). The idea was to have one half of the group promote in South Korea while the other was meant to promote in China, all with the same songs, but in different languages.

Unfortunately, there was discord with the agency – SM Entertainment – which resulted in a few separations.

Kris Wu exited EXO in 2014, suing SM Entertainment in order to break his contract. His complaints were that profit distribution was unfair, his health was disregarded and he was treated him like a product rather than a person.

Since leaving SM, Kris Wu has crafted a lucrative solo career in China that spans music, acting and modeling.

Unfortunately, Kris Wu has landed in some hot water regarding his love life that may result in legal consequences.

On July 8, 2021, a college student and influencer named Du Meizhu accused Kris Wu of luring teenaged girls into having sex with him. She further divulged that she knew of at least seven other (alleged) victims and that his team tried to pay her hush money.

Today, I will use the tarot cards to investigate who is telling the truth and the future of Kris Wu’s career.

Before I begin, it must be stated that these claims are all alleged. Therefore the following tarot card reading is not meant to defame Kris Wu, Du Meizhu or anyone else affected by the current scandal.

Needless to say, Kris Wu’s reputation has been receiving hits despite his team denying the allegations. He has lost many of his CF deals, including a very lucrative one with Tencent Videos.

So, today’s celebrity tarot reading will use the tarot to psychically investigate:

• How Kris Wu feels currently
• Any truth to the allegations
• Du Meizhu’s side of things
• The future of Kris Wu’s career
• Potential result of police investigation
• Will Kris Wu face jail time?

This following reading was conducted on July 21, 2021 and updated on July 23, 2021 after news of police investigation.

Three Card Tarot Reading – How Is Kris Wu Handling the Controversy?

For the first question about Kris Wu’s current mental state, we have the Five of Pentacles, Seven of Cups and Ten of Cups.

This is a mixed bag, but what is clear to me is that he’s feeling ostracized. The pentacle suit deals with the material realm, so it does point to losing money and lots of it. However, the way I read this card is that the person feels like an outcast. They’ve been kicked out of the group they previously belonged to (or society), and are left to fend for themselves.

He feels like he needs to move on or get away. Just as I was pulling these three cards, the Seven of Swords popped out. This further tells me that he wants to run away from his problems. His team is using sneaky tactics to make this scandal go away.

As for his mental state, he is all over the place. He cannot see what’s up from what’s down, which makes him unable to make a move. I feel like he’s battling with choice at the moment. He feels like he has to make one, but there are too many avenues in front of him, which scrambles his thinking.

What’s interesting about his last card, the Ten of Cups, is that on some level, he feels very confident that he will be fine in the long run.

Although my blog is very recent, I have been predicting celebrity news and scandals for years, the latest being Britney Spears, Chloe + Halle, Logan Paul, Rihanna’s relationship with ASAP Rocky and Robert Pattinson. However, one of my specialties is reading K-Pop celebrities on Discord, with the most recent being Irene of Red Velvet, SHINee, AOA’s Mina, Seo Yeji and BTS. In nearly every single case of a K-Pop scandal, I see this Ten of Cups so often that it has officially become the ‘K-Pop stan’ card.

This tells me that Kris Wu’s hunch is right. In the end, his fans will still love him no matter what.

Is There Any Truth to the Allegations?

Again, I must repeat that this tarot card reading is for entertainment purposes only and that no attempt at defamation is being made.

It appears that Kris Wu has been up to no good. The Ten of Swords is showing that he feels betrayed that his ‘secret’ was released. The Chariot card shows me that he wants to take charge of the matter to his betterment.

The Page of Swords suggests that more information will be released. However, this will not happen in a court of law, but on social media. He wants to stop people talking about him. His team will try, but the cat’s already out of the bag and more kittens will follow.

How Is Du Meizhu Handling Her Role As Whistleblower?

Here, Du Meizhu is represented as the Knight of Pentacles. This is a slow-moving card where the person wants to make sure they they dot every I and cross every T before they make a move. This makes sense as Du Meizhu claimed that she met Kris Wu at 17-years old and chose to speak out over a year later.

What these cards are also telling me is that there has been a lot of gossip behind the scenes about Kris Wu’s alleged preference for teenaged girls.

I feel that the entertainment industry is not shocked at all about this. The Three of Pentacles typically represents artisans and improving upon your work. In this case, I see it as gossip amongst peers. Considering that Kris Wu is a celebrity, I see this as his ‘artisan peers’ have been gossiping about him for some time now. Even in Du Meizhu’s circle, his behavior has been known.

Unfortunately for Du Meizhu, I feel that this will spell disaster for her. Right now, I’m not seeing a lawsuit, even though Kris Wu’s lawyers threatened one, but I do feel that her life will be made very uncomfortable for a long time to come.

Can Kris Wu Salvage His Career?

This should not come as a surprise to any longtime K-Pop fan: Kris Wu’s career is not over.

I specifically asked ‘what will Kris Wu’s career look like in 6 months?’ and received the Knight of Cups, Two of Pentacles and the Eight of Pentacles.

The Eight of Pentacles is the card of hard work and dedication. The young man sitting on the crafter’s bench is perfecting his skills. The Two of Pentacles usually represents juggling responsibilities. Right next to it is the Knight of Cups, a typically romantic card that speaks of offering a gift or assistance.

What Are the Potential Results of the Police Investigation?

Although Kris will be called out, the presence of the Two of Cups points to there being a relationship between he and a person or group in the legal field. If anyone is hoping for a complete exoneration or a total declaration of guilt, they will be disappointed. This may devolve into a he-said-she-said scenario with both (or all, in case more accusers come forward) are battling each other.

Will Kris Face Jailtime?

Rather than focus on the investigation, I asked instead if Kris Wu will face jailtime and received the Two of Pentacles. This is the same card that was present about his career and it has the same meaning here. His future is still in flux, so there is no clear yes or no. However, given the relationship I have with my cards, I take this as a borderline no.

So, I asked if he will have to pay a fine of some sort and received an emphatic yes. I feel that as I type, he and his team are offering private settlements and making deals behind the scenes. The Eight of Wands is a fast-moving card that suggests communication, love letters (or calls) and rapid movement. These wands have a clear direction and intent, so do not be surprised if Du Meizhu or other accusers mention monetary offers that have been made.

Tarot Reading Conclusion

Put together, this tarot reading tells me that Kris Wu will still be dealing with the reverberations of his scandal. The future of his career is still up in the air. Whether he stays or goes is still in question, even though he is losing CF deals as I type.

It looks like he will be working behind the scenes to build alliances and he will receive help to change his image.

In six months, he will not be making the major moves that you would expect from a superstar. He will be humbled and forced to build his reputation and career up again. I do not see jailtime as of this writing, but a high probability of a fine or private settlement.
