Hello friends!
It’s been a while and yep, that’s due to all of you who’ve been reaching out to me for readings. Before I get started, I wanted to first say thank you. Also, I want to announced that now, you can purchase readings directly from my shop as well as leave feedback anonymously. I am still located on Etsy, but I wanted to provide a space for clients to purchase their readings discreetly.
Alright, now, on to this week’s celebrity reading.
Last month, a reader sent me a message asking if I can read on the relationship between Martin Lawrence and Tisha Campbell. For any young folks who may be reading, these two were the main characters on a show called Martin that aired between 1992 and 1997.
I used to watch this show with my dad every week on HBO. Even now, when my friends tell me that I’ll be famous, I will respond with, “You see this face, it belongs of the tizz-zuuube!”
For the Gen Z readers who hadn’t experienced this show, check out one of my favorite clips and get your life!
Unfortunately, Tisha Campbell decided to leave the show. She faced tremendous backlash at the time (and still does ’til this day) for alleging that Martin Lawrence sexually harassed her.
So my dear reader asked me a slew of questions about their relationship that I will answer very quickly.
Was Martin Obsessed with Tisha?
I would not say that Martin was obsessed with Tisha, but he definitely saw her as his ‘dream girl’ as evidenced by the presence of the Queen and Seven of Cups. It seems like he projected on to her very heavily and part of the reason for this is because he was rejected by her and women like her in the past.
I feel strongly that Martin has a bad case of chasing after what he can’t have. I would not be surprised if he has a long string of unrequited loves, even after he became famous.
Also note that for the way I read, this Seven of Cups suggests drugs and alcohol. Much of his behavior has been influenced by substances. Allegedly.
Why Did Martin’s First Wife Resemble Tisha?
As the Queen and Seven of Cups suggests, this type of woman is his dream girl. However, with this Five of Pentacles added to the mix, it shows that Martin was terribly insecure at that time. I still feel that Tisha Campbell rejected Martin, so he felt forced to look elsewhere for someone who would accept him.
This is deeper than just a relationship, by the way. This is insecurity and a feeling of a hole in your chest or soul. With this type of woman, he felt that he would find that missing piece that would help him belong or “be” somebody.
It’s a shame considering that his natural talent made him famous and successful.
Did Martin and Tisha Have a Fling?
Typically, the Judgement card is a neutral one that leans towards a yes, however, with no other romantic or sexy cards, like the Ace of Wands, I think the answer to this is a no. One of the reasons is because Martin came across as very immature and a little shy, especially in the beginning of the show.
Their relationship was strictly business, especially on Tisha’s side.
Did Martin Make Tisha’s Life Hard On Set?
Please remember that this is all alleged and for entertainment purposes only. The answer is yes, he did indeed make filming difficult for Tisha. The Page of Wands is a very curious person, especially when it comes to meeting new people and having an adventure. However, when I see it in a love-ish reading, this is someone who is exploring their sexuality with new people and in new ways.
Again, allegedly, but my cards do support Tisha’s claims of sexual harassment. However, I’m getting that this wasn’t of the Weinstein variety. Martin keeps showing up as page cards, which is similar to a child’s or teenager’s mentality. Not only that, but when I asked why he made filming difficult for Tisha, he showed up again as a page card – the Page of Swords.
This card, when involved in a disagreement, can be someone who’s very petty. They love conflict and are wordsmiths, so they could demolish a person verbally or through written communication. They also tend to hold back their anger, but you feel it via their actions. Cycling between the silent treatment and catty dialogue is their weapon of choice.
This looks more and more like Martin gave Tisha a hard time simply because he couldn’t have her.
How Do These Two Feel About Each Other Now?
Welp. It looks like Tisha is over it with this Eight of Cups! More importantly, I feel that she has walked away the emotional distress that she endured back then. The man in this card is walking away from everything he’s built, up to higher, safer ground.
As for Martin, this Three of Pentacles suggests that he sees her as a peer and nothing more. The Three of Pentacles is the card of artisans, but it also represents co-workers or your professional network. I don’t see hate in their cards or any romantic love. It’s neutral and shows that they’ve finally moved past their acrimony.
Also, it looks like Martin attended Tisha and Duane Martin’s wedding because he was genuinely happy for her.
Did Tichina Arnold (Pam) and Martin Have A Relationship?
This is very clear. It’s a no and a hell nah! Again, women like Tisha Campbell were (and perhaps still are) Martin’s type. So no, he and Tichina did not have any relations.
